4 Operation
Procedure
1. Pull the rope (1) to release the mechanism, see "Open/closed
status – open and unlocked", page 13.
2. Using a suitable tool*, push the lever (2) out of the locking
edge:
2.1: Insert the tool in the cutout and find the edge of the
locking lever.
2.2: Holding the tool parallel to the locking lever, lift the
lever out of the locking edge of the fifth wheel coupling.
2.3: Insert the tool in the cutout and find the two contact
edges to engage the lever.
3. Insert the tool** in the eye near the locking bar (3).
4. Pull the tool** (4) until the bar is fully open.
5. Carefully release the tool* in the hook (5), to keep the bar in
the open position.
