6-21-2 Straight stitch slide plate sensor PCB
Remove the throat plate.
Adjustmentprocedure
1. Temporarily tighten the setscrew

of the straight stitch slide plate sensor PCB.
2. Attach the throat plate. Slowly move operating lever

of straight stitch slide plate

tondthepositionat
whichstraightstitchslideplatechangesoveritsmodetothe"straightstitchselection".(Buzzersoundsat
the moment of changeover.)
3. Change the position of straight stitch slide plate sensor PCB
4
bymovingitinthedirectionofthearrowto
adjustthechangeoverpositiontothepositionasshowninFig.A.
4. Tighten the setscrew

of the straight stitch slide plate sensor PCB.
5.Attachthethroatplate.Checktobesurethatthesewingmachineoperatesnormally.
(Caution) Release the "straight stitch selection" of straight stitch slide plate

to enable the use of the
normal needle slot in throat plate when attaching/removing the throat plate. The normal needle
slot can be used by moving operating lever
3
to the right.
Take care not to allow sensor lever
5
to hit against the sensor. If the lever hits against the sen-
sor, sensor can break.
If the actuating force of operating lever
3
in the case of the throat plate only and that in the
case the throat plate is attached to the sewing machine differs signicantly, check to make
sure that sensor lever
5
does not come in contact with the sensor. If the lever comes in con-
tact with the sensor, re-adjust the position of straight stitch slide plate sensor PCB

.

When the mode changes over to the "straight stitch selection", the buzzer
sounds and the needle hole display on the panel changes.

Top end of straight stitch

is aligned with
the edge of needle slot in the
throat plate. (0 ± 0.2 mm)
