Operation
5
4. Operation
Before operating the unit after transport, wait about one hour after setting it up. This will allow any
oil that has accumulated laterally during transport to flow back down.
Check to make sure that the line voltage matches the supply voltage specified on the identification
plate. Deviations of maximum 10 % are permissible in case no other tolerances are indicated.
Connect the unit to grounded power outlets only!
5. Maintenance
Disconnect the mains power plug before cleaning the unit!
To maintain the full cooling performance, clean the condenser from
time to time.
Switch off the unit, disconnect mains power cable.
Hold the venting grid, pull out and remove.
Clean the ribbed condenser with a vacuum cleaner.
Replace the venting grid.
Switch on the unit.
Clean the outside of the unit and the bath tank using a wet cloth.
6. General safety recommendations and repair instructions
6.1. Safety recommendations
Before opening the refrigerant circuit, carefully read the operating and
service manuals.
Never open the refrigerant circuit while the coooling machine is running.
Make pressure readings first with a manometer.
Only use suitable refrigerant or dry nitrogen for pressure tests of the
cooling system.
Observe the laws for environmental protection when handling refrigerants.
Remove the Schrader valve insert before soldering in the cooling system.
Wear a protecting mask to prevent poisoning by rests of gas.
Do not switch on the cooling machine as long as the system is evacuated,
since this could cause a short-circuit of the compressor windings.
Do not operate the cooling machine without refrigerant.
