As soon as several radio groups (e.g.
residence) are connected to a specic
radio group (e.g. stairwell), the specic
radio group (e.g. stairwell) is a collecti-
ve radio group. Up to 14 radio groups
can be connected to a collective radio
group.
The following example uses an apart-
ment house comprising for residences
and a stairwell to explain the applicati-
on of the collective radio group and the
setting up and functionality:
1. In all ve radio groups will be cre-
ated in this example according to the
instructions given in the sections given
above. A radio group per residence (in
this example - four radio groups) and
another radio group for the stairwell
will be created.
2. After all of the ve radio groups
are created, the radio group in the
stairwell will be reset into connection
mode as described under „Expanded
radio group / switching on connection
mode“.
3. Now, in the rst residence, press
the radio button (Illus. 6, point a) of
the smoke alarm device with radio
link next in line the radio group in the
stairwell (e.g. in the corridor) using the
long, thin pin end of the activation fuse
(Illus. 5) for 1 second. The radio LED
temporary indicates a short yellow in-
tervall signal.
4. Once you release the radio button,
the system will display: a successful
connection between the radio group in
the rst residence and radio group in
stairwell through a green signal by the
radio LED.
