Possible causes for alarm
without a re
Some rooms have more dust than
the others. A bedroom is often such a
room because often uffy carpets, clo-
thing, bed-covers and pillows are hand-
led here. This can cause dust to enter
the measurement system of the device
and cause error or an alarm.
Pollen, construction dust, scrapings or
ne dust has directly entered the de-
vice, thereby causing an error or alarm.
One or more very small insects or
other tiny organisms have passed th-
rough the insect-protection barriers
and have caused an error or alarm.
Regular and careful cleaning of the
device, for instance with a duster, can
remove such contamination of the
measurement system and prevent un-
desirable errors and alarms.
Very dense cooking, water and/or brai-
sing vapours as well as room, air, insect
sprays must not reach the measuring
system of the device. Keep the room
well-ventilated.

very strong electromagnetic radiation
effect the direct surroundings of the
smoke alarm device with radio link and
hence the device.
Cigarette smoke sets off the alarm only
if the smoke is in immediate proximi-
ty of the radio alarm or reaches the
smoke alarm device with radio link in
extreme concentration.
In order to avoid a contamination-in-
duced alarm in the smoke alarm device
with radio link, the device must be pro-
tected from these environmental condi-
