ventilated while cooking, or if there
is strong vapour build-up close to the
smoke alarm device with radio link.
Abort or prevent a contamination-in-
duced alarm by softly pressing on the
test/stop button (Illus. 1 point d), by
ventilating the room and cleaning the
device.
Please inform your neighbours about an
alarm without a re so that the re de-
partment is not involved unnecessarily!

instructions
Smoke alarm devices with radio links
help identify res early, but can neither
extinguish a re nor prevent re from
starting and cannot inform the re de-
partment directly.
Smoke alarm devices with radio links
give out a loud alarm when there is a
re, so that the danger is made known.
In spite of great care during the ma-
nufacture of the smoke alarm devices
with radio links, there can be faults in
their functioning and a device may not
be able to notify about a re or not
able to do so in time.
Always follow the normal precautio-
nary rules while handling re, combus-
tible material and technical devices.
