radio groups in these residences to the
radio group in the stairwell.
When all radio groups in the residences
are connected with the radio group of
the stairwell, the cross-linking mode can
be ended by pressing the radio button
(Illus. 6 point a) of any smoke alarm de-
vice with radio link in the radio group in
stairwell briey (approx. 2 seconds). The
radio group in stairwell will now be-
come a collective radio group (stairwell).
The radio LEDs in all smoke alarm de-
vices with radio links in the collective
radio group (stairwell) and the connec-
ted radio groups (residences) will now
go off, thereby completing the setup
of the collective radio group for the
stairwell.
Functions test of the
collective radio group
The correct function of the collecti-
ve radio group can be checked easily.
A short conrmation of the test/stop
button (Illus. 1 point d) for 2-3 seconds
in a smoke alarm device with radio link
of the collective radio group will initiate
a self-test of the individual device. A
short signal will be given out now.
A longer pressure on the test/stop
button (Illus. 1 point d) until the second
signal will initiate self test via radio in all
other smoke alarm devices with radio
links in the collective radio group. This
test needs to be repeated every 3-6
months in order to test the collective
radio group‘s functioning.
