1Press FM/AM. i_
Tile unit automatically turns on and tunes ill to
tile previously tuned station (either FM or AM).
• Each time you press the button, the band
alternates between FM and AM.
2 Start searching for stations.
On the unit:
Press and hold TUNING +
or TUNING - for more than
1 second.
On the remote control:
Press and hold ,_1/_ or
1_4/_14 for more than 1
second.
Tile unit starts searching for stations mid stops when a
station of sufficient signal strength is tuned in to.
If a program is broadcast ill stereo, the ST (stereo)
indicator lights up.
To stop during searching, press TUNING + or TUNING -
(or D_I/I_I_ or 141_1/_ oil tile remote control).
When you press TUNING + o1"TUNING -
(or _t_ll_l/lln"t_or 14t_l/_ on the remote control) briefly
and repeatedly
The frequency changes step by step.

When till FM stereo broadcast is hard to receive FMMODE
or noisy, press FM MODE oil tile remote control
so that "MONO" appears and tile MONO
indicator also lights up oil tlle display. Reception
improves.
To restore the stereo effect, press FM MODE again so that
"STEREO" appears oil tlle display.
Ill this stereo mode, you call hear stereo sounds when a
program is broadcast ill stereo.
Presetting Stations
You can preset 30 FM and 15 AM stations.
Ill some cases, test frequencies have been already memorized
for tlle tuner since tlle factory examined tlle tuner preset
function before shipment. This is not a malfunction. You ctm
preset tlle stations you want into memory by following tlle
presetting method.
• There is a time limit ill doing tile following steps. If the
setting is canceled before you finish, start from step 2
again.
On the unit ONLY:
Tune in to the station you want to preset (in
this example, of FM 87.50).
• See "Tuning in to a Station--Auto Search."
