Connections

You
can connect two
pairs
of speakers
(four
speakers total) to
this receiver. The two
pairs
of speakers are called Speakers
1
and Speakers
2.
Important!
Be sure to
match
the
polarity
of
the speaker term|
nals with
the
polarity
of
the terminals
on
the receiver.
(+)
to
(+)
and
(-)
to
(-).
Note: This
receiver
is
only
for
use
with
speakers
having im-
pedance
of 8 to 16
ohms.
Check
your
speaker specifications
to make
sure
the
speakers
have the
correct
impedance.

connecting speakers, open each terminal and
insert
the
end of the speaker wire as shown.

Ctose
the
terminals as shown to clamp the speaker
wires in
prace.
Speakers I
Connect
the first
pair
of
speakers
(Speakers
1) to the receiver
as
follows:

Connect
the
(+)
and
(-)
terminals of the right-side Speaker
1
to
the
top
(+)
and
(-)
terminals marked RIGHT on the
receiver.

Connect the
(+)
and
(-)
terminals of the
left-side
Speaker
1
to the top
(+)
and
(-)
terminals marked LEFT on the
receiver.
Speakets 2

pair
of speakers
(Speakers
2) is
to be used,
connect them to the receiver as
follows.
@Connect
the
(+)
and
(-)
terminals of the
right-side Speaker 2
to the bottom
(+)
and
(-)
terminals marked
RIGHT
on the
ranoirror

Connect the
(+)
and
(-)
terminals of the left-side Speaker 2
to
the bottom
(+)
and
(-)
terminals
marked LEFT
on
the
receiver.

make sure all stereo components are connected correctly.
Do not connect
stereo
components requiring more than 180
watts
(total)
to the receiver.

Plug the
power
cord
on
the
back
of
the
receiver into a 120
volt. 60 Hz
AC household
electrical outlet.
You
can connect the
power
cords of the other stereo compo-
nents to the two AC outlets on the back of the receiver.

The
AC outlets
provide power'whenever
the
receiver is
plugged
in,
regardless of the r*eiver's
power
switch
setting.

The AC
outlets are connected to
the receiver's
ON/STANDBY circuits. When the
power
switch
is
set
fo
STANDBY,
power
will not
be supplied.
