E # >callsign Changes the TO field to a new callsign
E # <callsign Changes the FROM field to a new callsign
E # @bbscall Changes the ©BBS field to bbscall
E # "stringl" "string2" Changes the FIRST occurrence of stringl to string2, starting with the
subject of the message.
The EDIT command will also permit you to edit the text of a message. The format to edit text is:
e #"string1""string2"
Specify the message number in place of #. The KPC-9612 will then replace the FIRST occurrence
of string1 with string2. You may use either double quotes (") or single quotes (') to delimit the
strings. Be careful when editing a message. For instance, if you try to replace "the" with "those"
and the first occurrence of "the" happens to be in the word
thermal
, you would end up with
tho-
sermal
. It may be wise to search for " the " if you want to replace the word "the".
