2.9 Anti-tippers
Anti-tippers prevent the wheelchair from tipping
backwards. When you install the anti-tippers, if the anti-
tippers are adjustable, please make sure:
The distance between the end of each anti-tipper
and the rear wheel is at least 50 mm.
The distance to the floor does not exceed 50 mm.
WARNING
Please always check that the anti-tippers are working before using the wheelchair.
Anti-tippers that are incorrectly set or damaged can lead to tipping over. Please turn
to a KARMA authorized dealer when anti-tippers need to be installed or re-adjusted.
The activated anti-tippers may bump into the ground when negotiating steps or
kerbs (curbs). Therefore, deactivate the anti-tippers if needed.
To mount the anti-tippers, press the release buttons, and then insert them into
the back of the side frame. Ensure the release buttons pop out properly in the
fixing hole (A).
