3.4 Push & Pull attendant brakes
The Push & Pull attendant brakes allow the caregiver to brake the wheelchair
when needed. They can also be used to lock the rear wheels to the wheelchair
from moving.
To brake the wheelchair while moving, squeeze both brake handles upwards
to slow down and stop the wheelchair (
).
The innovative Push & Pull attendant brakes allow the caregiver access to the
wheel locks without having to continuously lean forward. Just push the
attendant brakes to lock the rear wheels and park the wheelchair (
), and
pull to unlock (
).
3.5 Wheel locks
The wheel locks can lock the wheels when stationary to prevent it from moving.
To engage the wheel locks, push the wheel lock levers forwards as far as
possible.
To release the wheel locks, pull the wheel lock levers backwards.
CAUTION
Do not use the wheel locks to slow down or stop the wheelchair. This could cause it to
seize up, causing you to lose control or fall out of the wheelchair.
