5.11 Unfolding the Chair
5.11.1 Step 1. With the chair in front of you and facing away, take hold
of both handles and pull up into position, making sure that the
spring lever becomes locked.
5.11.2 Step 2. Take hold of both armrest and pull them apart until the
backrest is almost completely open (about 30 cm).
5.11.3 Step 3. Place hands on the top of the seat support rails with
fingers pointing inwards and push down until the seat is
completely open and the seat rails are fully located in the
retaining cups.
5.12 Folding the Wheelchair
5.12.1 Step 1. Put fingers under the middle of the seat at both front
and rear, grasp and give a sharp pull upwards until the chair is
nearly closed. Never grasp from the sides.
5.12.2 Step 2. Push the armrests together.
5.12.3 Step 3. Folding is completed by releasing the spring lever and
folding back the backrest handles
5.13 Footrest Removal and Refitting
5.13.1 To remove footrest push / pull the release lever and rotate the
footrest until it faces outwards.
5.13.2 To refit locate the footrest unit onto the frame lugs (at about 90
degrees to the side of the frame) and rotate it inward until the
unit locks into place.
