4.4.3 Changing Presets With Program Changes
When in Standalone mode, changing 12 Step presets via external software/hardware is possible
using program changes. Program changes sent to 12 Step Port 1 will select the corresponding
preset in the setlist —!e.g. sending program change 23 will load the 23rd preset in the setlist.
4.4.4 Using The MIDI Expander
It is possible to control the 12 Step LEDs, display, and presets via input to an attached MIDI
Expander. When sending CCs and program change messages to control the 12 Step via the
Expander, the messages must be sent on MIDI channel 16 —!any other channels will be ignored
and handled normally (see 12 Step Port 2 section for more info on “normal”).
