Repair and Replacement Procedures
Removing and Replacing the Measurement Group Assemblies
Replacing the RF Assembly Including the A4 RF Board
1. Separate the front and rear cases. Refer to “Separating the Front and Rear
Cases” on page 7-9.
2. Remove all measurement group assemblies as one unit. Refer to
“Removing All Measurement Group Assemblies as One Unit” on
page 7-29.
3. Disconnect the flexible RF cables from the A4 RF board; it is not necessary
to disconnect the cables from the A5 system board. Refer to “Replacing
the A6 SOM Board and Flexible RF Cables” on page 7-33.
4. Remove the A5 system board. Refer to “Replacing the A5 System Board”
on page 7-36.
5. Remove the BNC connector, nut, and washer from the old RF assembly
and install them in the new RF assembly. Note: Cable W3 includes the
BNC connector.
6. Reinstall the A5 system board onto the new RF assembly. Refer to
“Replacing the A5 System Board” on page 7-36.
7. Re-connect the flexible RF cables to the A4 RF board. Refer to “Replacing
the A6 SOM Board and Flexible RF Cables” on page 7-33.
8. Perform the steps under “Post-replacement Procedure” on page 7-43.
