The chart below shows the storage capacity for pressurized storage tanks at various precharges.
To determine this volume:
1) Find the point on the
horizontal axis at the bottom of
the graph that represents the
total pressure (air plus water)
in the tank. Move vertically to
the air pre-charge line found in
step 1.
2) Move horizontally to the left
axis and read the percent of
“maximum total volume” in the
tank under the above
conditions. Multiply this
percentage by the maximum
total water volume to
determine the volume of water
in the tank.

If an atmospheric-type holding tank is used, then the water must be repressurized for use throughout the
facility.
