  If your Kodak Digital Camera is producing pictures that are not clear, press the Shutter button halfway and hold until the AE/AF indicator turns green, then fully depress the shutter to automatically set exposure and focus. Clean the lens. Ensure the camera is not in Macro AF mode if you are outside of the Macro AF setting, or in Telephoto mode if closer than the telephoto focus specification. For high-zoom settings or in low light, stabilize the camera on a flat, steady surface or use a tripod.

  If your Kodak Digital Camera displays a picture that is too light or overexposed, reposition the camera to reduce the amount of available light. Try turning the flash off. Make sure you are within the effective flash range. To automatically set exposure and focus, press the Shutter button halfway and hold until the AE/AF indicator turns green, then fully depress the shutter. Use P mode to adjust the Exposure and Flash Compensations.

  If the picture on your Kodak Digital Camera is too dark or underexposed, reposition the camera for more available light. Use Fill flash or change your position so light is not behind the subject. Move so that the distance between you and the subject is within the effective flash range. To automatically set exposure and focus, press the Shutter button halfway and hold. When the AE/AF indicator turns green, press the Shutter button completely down to take the picture. Use P mode to adjust the Exposure and Flash Compensations. Use P mode and Selectable AF Zone.

  If your Kodak Digital Camera is not communicating with the computer, insert a charged battery and turn on the camera. Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the camera and computer. If using an EasyShare dock, check all cable connections and ensure the camera is properly seated on the dock. Also, verify that the EasyShare software is installed.
