3. Insert the new front transport roller, aligning the slot on the front transport
roller with the holder.
4. Reinstall the front transport roller cover. Gently tighten the screw.
Replacing the background
strip(s)
In the rare case that you may need to replace the background strip(s), follow
the procedures below.
1. Open the scanner cover.
2. Lift the tab on the left side of the upper background strip and slide the
background strip to the left while lifting it out of position.
3. Insert the new background strip by aligning the tabs with the slots and slide
it to the right until it snaps into place.
4. Repeat Steps 2 and 3 to replace the lower background strip.
NOTE: When replacing the lower background strip, the tab is now on the
right and the strip slides to the right.
5. Close the scanner cover.
