Emergency stop buttons stop laser operation and mechanical
movement.
Each emergency stop button is a red button on a yellow background.
Depending on the device and the emergency stop button's location on
the device, it may look like one of the following images:
Figure 27: Emergency stop button
An emergency stop button does not disconnect power to the imager or
platesetter. Therefore, you can continue to check the device control
software for information about how to solve a problem.
If you press an emergency stop button, you must reset it before the
platesetter or imager can return to normal operation. To reset the
button, rotate it clockwise until it pops up, click the Resume operation
in the device control software, and follow the instructions in the
recovery messages.
Emergency stop buttons are located in the following areas:
●
On the exterior of the platesetter, to the right of the load table
●
Several locations inside the platesetter, under the rear hood and
behind the rear panel
An emergency stop button is located at the front right side of the load
table on a Kodak Magnus VLF Semiautomatic platesetter or the Flexcel
NX Wide imager.
