Fault Type(s):
1 = Main did not close
when commanded.
2 = Main disconnected
during operation.
3 = Battery disconnected with
main enable off.
Type 1:
1. Main contactor did not close.
2. Main contactor tips are oxidized,
burned, or not making good contact.
3. An external load on the capacitor
bank (B+ connection terminal) is
preventing the capacitor bank
from charging.
4. Blown B+ fuse.
5. Main Contactor
parameters mistuned;
Main Pull-in Voltage,
Main Holding Voltage.
Type 2:
1. Main contactor opened
during operation (while
commanded closed).
2. Driver wiring to contactor’s coil
(e.g., pin wiring) removed
during operation.
3. Contactor/coil defective.
Type 3:
Battery not connected to B+
when main enable is off and
interlock applied.
Set: With the main contactor
commanded closed, the
capacitor bank voltage (B+
connection terminal) did not
charge to B+.
Clear: Reset Controller.

be congured.
Bit2: The slip gain test needs to be run.
Bit3: The base speed test needs to
be run.
Bit4: The automated test needs to be
run (full motor commissioning).
Set: Default for both ACIM and
PMAC motors.
Clear: Run the appropriate motor
commissioning sequences.
Fault Action:
None.
Yet, the motor will not
operate until the motor
conguration and/or
commissioning tests are
complete.
