Position Sensor earlier in this section. If P0337
is present and engine operates, clear codes and
retest.
Component: Crankshaft Position Sensor
Fault: Crankshaft Position Sensor No Signal
Condition: Loose sensor, open or shorted
connection (sensor connector or battery
connections) or faulty sensor.
Conclusion: Crankshaft Position Sensor Related
A false fault code P0337 is triggered by
a voltage drop with key ON and engine
o . Voltage drop may be caused by a
poor/inadequate battery connection,
battery charger connected or
disconnected, or any event that may
interrupt voltage signal to ECU like a
power interruption or heavy load from
equipment that results in a recordable
voltage drop.
Sensor connector or wiring.
Sensor loose.
