9.6.1 Selecting Paper Size Automatically: Auto Paper Select
Auto Paper Select detects the original size placed on the ADF or original
glass and automatically selects and feeds copy paper of the same size (×1.0
magnification mode), or selects an appropriate size according to the magni-
fication ratio selected (Zoom mode).

Detail
The original sizes to be detected from the ADF or original glass are pre-
viously determined. See page 3-13 for details.
The original sizes to be detected from the ADF or original glass can be
changed. See p. 6-68 of POD Administrator’s reference.
The machine manager can designate the tray or paper condition incom-
patible with Auto Paper Select. See p. 5-13 of POD Administrator’s refer-
ence.
The machine can be set to deactivate Auto Paper Select when original is
set in the ADF or on the original glass.
Prerequisites
0 Auto Paper Select is incompatible with Auto Zoom, while Rotation is
available.
0 Auto Paper Select will not select the tray of the size specified as Custom.
1 Press [Reset] on the control panel. If the machine is equipped with the
ADF, close it securely before pressing [Reset].
– [Auto Paper Select] is initially selected on the Copy Screen.
