•Inhalation:Thechemicalsarelungirritant.Avoidinhalinganyventedgases.Remove
thevictimandyourselffromexposure.Restandkeepwarm.Ifbreathingisdifcult,
seekemergencymedicalattention.
•Skincontact:Thechemicalsareskinirritant.Rinseimmediatelywithcopiousamount
ofwaterandsoapforatleast15minutes.Wipeimmediatelyawayexcessmaterial
withwaterlesshandcleaner.Removecontaminatedclothingandwashitthoroughly
beforereuse.
•Eyecontact:Thechemicalsareeyeirritant.Flushimmediatelywithcopiousamount
ofcleartepidwaterforatleast15minutes.
•Ingestion:Exposuretothechemicalsmaycausetissuedamagetothroatand
gastro/respiratorytractifswallowed.Ifingested,rinsemouthandsurroundingarea
withtepidwater.Dilutebydrinkingplentyofwater.Seekmedicaladvice.
SECTION5:Fireghtingmeasures
Thetransponderisdesignedtowithstanddamagetotheinternalbatterypack.
Non-ammablematerialisused.Incaseofre,movethebatteryawayfromrearea
ifyoucandoitwithoutcompromisingyourownsafety.Extrememechanicalabuseto
thebatterymayresultinarupturedsealandexposure.
Theindividualcellsinthebatterypackcontainaammableliquidelectrolytethatmay
vent,igniteandproducesparkswhensubjectedtohightemperatures(>150°C/302°F),
whendamagedorabused.Aburningbatterycanigniteotherbatteriesincloseproximity.
Suitableextinguishingmediaaredrychemical,CO2,watersprayorregularfoam.Cool
downthebattery/transponderwithcopiousamountsofcoldwater.
Theinteractionwithwaterorwatervapourandexposedlithiumhexauorophosphate
(LiPF6)mayresultinthegenerationofhydrogenandhydrogenuoride(HF)gas.
Contactwithbatteryelectrolytemaybeirritatingtoskin,eyesandmucousmembranes.
Firewillproduceirritating,corrosiveand/ortoxicgases.Fumesmaycausedizziness
orsuffocation.Useaself-containedbreathingapparatus.

SECTION6:Accidentalreleasemeasures
Duringnormaloperation,accidentalreleasemeasuresarenotapplicable.Extreme
mechanicalabusetothebatterymayresultinarupturedsealandexposure.
Asanimmediateprecautionarymeasure,isolatethespillorleakareaatleast25metres
(75feet)inalldirections.Keepunauthorizedpersonnelaway.Stayupwind,andkeepout
