Formatting while using batteries
We recommend using USB power when

1. Turn o the power to the Beat Boy.
2. While pressing and holding down the
A-B/DELETE buon and the REC buon,
press the RECORDER ON buon.
3. Follow the same procedure as that for
formaing while using the baeries.
When the formatting procedure is
complete, the power is turned o.

Troubleshooting
 Power does not turn on.
• Could the battery symbol be blinking?
Replace the batteries. Recording is not
possible if the baery symbol is blinking.
• Make sure the baeries are inserted with
the polarities (+, -) in the correct orientation.
 Nothing appears on the display.
• Is the power to the Beat Boy turned on?
 No sound is heard from the speaker.
• Are the headphones connected correctly?
• Make sure that the volume is not set to “0.”
•
Make sure that the battery power is
sucient.
 Cannot record.
• Make sure that sucient memory space is
available. Check the available recording time.
• Make sure that the battery power is
sucient.
