6.1.4 Potential equalisation on site
For the necessary on-site equipotential bonding, which will vary depending on the grid supplier, the
compensating cable must be connected to the common earthing rail in the charging pole. A copper
cable cross-section of 10 mm² is recommended.
Note
The maximum permissible voltage drop is country-specific according to legislation. For placing on the
market, you must comply with the legal and normative regulations of the respective country. A
possible increase in cross-section may be necessary.
6.1.5 Testing the electrical system
Testing the electrical system
Carry out an electrical test of the charging station (according to IEC 60364-7-722).
• Check the charging station, e.g. for damage.
• Check the continuity of the
RA
/ PE conductors.
• Measure the resistance of the earth electrodes (
RA system earth electrodes
).
• Measure residual current trip time / residual current trip current.
