MAL-OPS-0969 Version 2.2 6
To unpin the screen, hold the central button down for a further two seconds. The pin
icon will no longer be displayed.
2.5 Waking the Screen
If the device is not used for a given amount of time, the screen will sleep and so will
not be illuminated. This is not the same as the device being off, as the device will
continue to scan for radiation sources. To illuminate the screen once more, the
central button can be pressed.
2.6 Indicator Light
At the top of the device, an LED is used to convey the status of the D3M using the
LED colour and light operation.
2.7 Charging the D3M
The D3M is charged when it is connected to a power source by a USB cable. While
the device is charging, the LED at the top of the device will display a pulsing white
light. When the D3M is fully charged, the LED will illuminate solidly white. This LED
pattern during charging will continue even if the device is turned off.
2.8 Powering Off
The D3M detector is turned off by first ensuring that the screen is not in sleep mode.
The central button is then pressed for five seconds, causing the screen to fill with five
white bars one at a time. When the fifth and final bar has filled the screen, the
button should be released, and the detector will turn off.
