Why KTM Motorcycle engine doesn’t crank (E-starter)?
- CChris MorrisonAug 21, 2025
If your KTM Motorcycle engine doesn’t crank when using the E-starter, it could be due to a few reasons. First, make sure you haven't made an operating error by ensuring the emergency-OFF switch is turned on (Australia only). Next, check the fuse; a blown fuse could be the culprit. You can replace the fuse in the starter relay after dismounting the left paneling and the filter box cover. A discharged battery can also prevent the engine from cranking, so recharge the battery and investigate why it discharged. Low outside temperature can also affect the engine; in this case, try starting the engine with the kickstarter.
