Other potential causes include a disconnected fuel hose, blown fuses, an incorrectly set idle speed, a spark plug issue (oily, wet, or incorrect gap), a defective ignition system, a frayed wiring harness, or a defect in the fuel injection system. Clean and dry the spark plug or replace if necessary. Adjust the plug gap to 1.0 mm (0.039 in). To diagnose a fuel injection issue, use the KTM diagnostics tool.

Measure the piston/cylinder mounting clearance if wear is suspected.
