In this case, remove the seat and check the voltage regulator connections. It is recommended that a KTM dealer check the voltage regulator and generator.

  If your KTM Motorcycle engine will not reach full power, the fuel supply may be partially interrupted, or the carburetor may be dirty, so clean and check the fuel system and carburetor. If the float leaks, replace it. If the air filter is very dirty, clean or replace it. If the valve clearance is too small, have it adjusted. If there is loss of compression because the hand decompressor has no play, check the setting of the hand decompression cable. If the electronic ignition timing is faulty, have the ignition system checked.

  If your KTM Motorcycle engine cranks but doesn’t start, make sure the fuel tap is open and that there is fuel in the tank. Ensure you are using the choke or warm start device correctly. If the motorcycle has been out of operation for more than a week, drain the old fuel from the float chamber. Check for fuel supply interruptions by removing the drain plug from the carburetor. If the engine is flooded, fully open the throttle when starting, or replace the spark plug. Clean or replace a sooty or wet spark plug. Adjust the spark plug electrode gap to 0.9 mm. Inspect the spark plug connector and spark plug for faults, ensuring a strong spark is produced. Clean the plug connections of the CDI-unit, pulse generator, and ignition coil with contact spray. Finally, check for water in the carburetor...
