Danger
Danger of poisoning Exhaust gases are toxic and inhal-
ing them may result in unconsciousness and death.
– Always make sure there is sufficient ventilation
when running the engine.
– Use effective exhaust extraction when starting or
running the engine in an enclosed space.
– Start the engine and check for leaks.
Finishing work
– Check the gear oil level. ( p. 105)
16.3 Adding the gear oil
Info
Too little gear oil or poor-quality gear oil results in premature wear to the transmission.
Preparatory work
– Stand the motorcycle upright on a horizontal surface.

Remove screw

with the seal ring.

with the O-ring.
– Add gear oil up to the bottom edge of the hole of the gear oil
level plug.

Mount and tighten screw
