What to do if KUHN Farm Equipment has uneven stubble?
    • C
      Christopher DeckerAug 6, 2025
If your KUHN Farm Equipment is leaving uneven stubble, it could be due to several reasons. First, check for dull or broken knives and replace them if necessary. Ensure that the knives are installed correctly, with the arrow on the knife's upper face pointing in the disc's direction of rotation. Finally, verify that the PTO speed is adequate; increase it to 1000 min-1 if it's too low.

Why is soil building up in front of the cutterbar on my KUHN Farm Equipment?
    • P
      Paula BishopAug 12, 2025
Soil buildup in front of the cutterbar on your KUHN Farm Equipment can occur due to excessive cutterbar down pressure. To resolve this, increase the accumulator pressure. It can also happen in very wet working conditions, in which case you should adjust the main frame height with regards to the ground.

What to do if KUHN Farm Equipment has bad ground contour adaptation?
    • J
      Justin RosalesAug 19, 2025
If your KUHN Farm Equipment isn't adapting well to the ground contour, it might be caused by an incorrect main frame setting. Adjust the main frame height with regards to the ground. Excessive ground speed can also be a factor, so reduce your speed. Alternatively, there might be insufficient ground pressure; in this case, reduce the accumulator pressure.

What to do if it's not possible to place the KUHN Farm Equipment in "headland turn" position?
    • B
      Brian McdowellNov 24, 2025
The inability to place your KUHN Farm Equipment in the "headland turn" position may arise if the hydraulic circuit wasn't pressurized correctly beforehand. Here’s what you should do: Ensure the pressure reaches 80 bar (1160 psi). Place the machine in working position by lowering the tractor lift linkage so that hitch pins are at a distance 550 mm (1’10’’) from the ground. Open the hydraulic valve using the 18 box spanner supplied with the machine. Shift the tractor hydraulic valve in the direction for placing the machine in working position, to pressurize the circuit: 100/110 bar (1450/1585 psi) . Shut-off the hydraulic valve. Shift the tractor's hydraulic valve in float position. There are 3 possibilities: a) The pressure on the gauge drops (0 bar). - Repeat previous tasks. b) The pressur...
