Make sure hole in door frame is drilled a
minimum of 1” (25 mm) deep.

Note: Additional door preparation may be
required for doors with 11/2" (38 mm) holes.

the door is either 21/8" (54 mm) or
11/2" (38 mm).
Measure to conirm that the backset is
either 23/8" or 23/4" (60 or 70 mm).

Use a lathead screwdriver to
lift tabs on collar of rectangular
face to remove it from latch.
Install drive-in collar.
IMPORTANT: Make sure the latch bolt is fully
retracted (in the unlocked position).

Prepare Door and Check Dimensions

Measure Door Hole Diameter

Confirm door hole diameter is 2-1/8" (54 mm) or 1-1/2" (38 mm).

Measure Backset

Confirm door backset is 2-3/8" or 2-3/4" (60 or 70 mm).

Measure Door Edge Hole

Confirm door edge hole diameter is 1" (25 mm).

Measure Door Thickness

Confirm door thickness is 1-3/8" or 1-3/4" (35 mm or 44 mm).

Install Latch and Strike

Position Latch on Door Edge

Hold latch flush against the door edge, with slotted hole centered.

Install Latch into Door

Install latch using screws, ensuring slotted hole is at bottom.

Install Strike on Door Frame

Install strike plate into the door frame, ensuring minimum 1" depth.

Install Exterior Assembly

Route Cable and Insert Torque Blade

Mount Exterior Assembly and Plate

Test Latch Operation

Install Interior Assembly

Install Batteries and Reset Lock

Connect Cables and Rotate Turnpiece

Secure Interior Assembly

Set Locking and Unlocking Direction

Teach Lock Door Orientation

Test Lock and Unlock
