(1) PWBs
Figure 2-2-1 PWBs
1. Main PWB .................................................... Controls the software such as the print data processing and provides the
interface with computers.
2. Engine PWB................................................. Controls printer hardware such as high voltage/bias output control, paper
conveying system control, and fuser temperature control, etc.
3. Power source PWB...................................... After full-wave rectification of AC power source input, switching for
converting to 24 V DC for output. Controls the fuser heater lamp1/2.
4. High voltage PWB 1..................................... Generates main charging, developing bias, primary transfer bias (yellow,
cyan and magenta) and cleaning bias.
5. High voltage PWB 2..................................... Generates primary transfer bias (black), secondary transfer bias and
separation needle charging.
6. Operation panel PWB .................................. Controls the LCD display. Consists the LCD display, LED indicators and
key switches.
7. Paper exit PWB............................................ Interconnects the engine PWB and the electrical parts (paper exit sec-
tion).
8. Drum relay PWB .......................................... Interconnects the engine PWB and the drum units/developing units.
9. APC PWB C................................................. Generates and controls the laser beam. (cyan)
10. APC PWB M ................................................ Generates and controls the laser beam. (magenta)
11. APC PWB K ................................................. Generates and controls the laser beam. (black)
12. APC PWB Y ................................................. Generates and controls the laser beam. (yellow)
13. PD PWB M................................................... Controls horizontal synchronizing timing of laser beam. (yellow, black)
14. PD PWB Y ................................................... Controls horizontal synchronizing timing of laser beam. (magenta, cyan)
