theTest button.Pressing andturning clockwise locks the button in
theoperatingposition,thebuttonisreleasedbyturningit
counterclockwise.

ThisinstrumentconformstoIEC61557.Thisstandarddefinesthatthe
nominalcurrentshallbeatleast1mA,andthelowerlimitofthe
insulationresistancemaintainingthenominalvoltageatthe
measurementterminal.(Seethegraphbelow.)
Thisvalue is calculated by dividing the nominalvoltage bynominal
current.i.e.,incasethatthenominalvoltageis500V,thelowerlimit
oftheinsulationresistanceisfoundasfollows.
Divide500Vby1mAequals0.5MΩ.
Thatis,insulationresistanceof0.5MΩ ormoreisrequiredtoprovide
thenominalvoltagetotheinstrument.
