and on the instrument cluster.
P – Park
The park (P) position prevents the vehicle from moving and
can be activated by pressing the button

in the Tamburo
with the vehicle stationary.
It is engaged automatically if the vehicle is shut off with the
gearbox in R, D and M or after 30 minutes if the vehicle is left
with neutral (N) engaged.
To release park (P), start the vehicle, press the brake pedal
and select reverse (R) or first gear with the right shift paddle.

be deactivated using the tool provided.
R - Reverse
Reverse gear (R) is engaged by pulling the lever
1
in the
centre of the Tamburo with the vehicle stationary, the engine
idling and the brake pedal depressed.
To shift out of reverse, engage first gear by pulling the right
shift paddle
3
, or shift to N by pulling both paddles (
3
and
4
).
N - Neutral
Neutral is engaged, with the engine running, by pulling both
shift paddles behind the steering wheel at the same time.
D – Drive
In this position the transmission automatically selects the
most suitable forward gear ratio, taking into consideration
the engine loading, driving speed and driving style.
With the vehicle in N, P or R, pulling the right shift paddle
engages first gear, and the gearbox will automatically shift to
D mode.
M – Manual
The manual (M) mode of the gearbox can be engaged and disengaged, with the engine
running, by pressing the button
5
on the Tamburo; in this mode, gear shifts are made
using the shift paddles behind the steering wheel. Pull the right-hand paddle to upshift, and
the left-hand paddle to downshift.
Note
It is only possible to engage M from the D position.
