Start & Stop system
In Start & Stop mode, the engine turns off automatically when the vehicle is still, for example
at a traffic light. The instrument cluster remains on in this situation. The engine then restarts
automatically as soon as it is needed.
The Start & Stop system operates only when:
• STRADA driving mode is selected and the gearbox is in P, N or D.
• The driver door and the engine bonnet are closed.
• The vehicle has exceeded 2 mph (3 km/h) since the last stop.
To manually activate or deactivate the Start&Stop system, press the button

on the lower
control panel.
Turning the engine on and off
To start the engine or switch on the instrument cluster, the key with remote
control must be inside the vehicle.
Starting the engine
• Hold down the brake pedal and press the START ENGINE STOP button

Note
Pressing the START ENGINE STOP button without pressing the brake pedal
switches the instrument cluster on and off.
Switching off the engine
• Stop the vehicle and press the START ENGINE STOP button.
Starting the engine in the event of a fault
If the battery in the vehicle key is flat, or in the event of radio interference or a system fault, the engine may not start.
Place the key in its housing
