Driving
Lane Departure Warning System
The lane departure warning system uses a camera installed near the rearview mirror to
detect the lane markings and warn the driver when it detects that there is a risk of the
vehicle leaving the lane.
The system operates between speeds of approximately 40 mph (65 km/h) and 155 mph
(250 km/h) and can be enabled and disabled using the button
1
on the turn indicators
stalk switch.
Traffic Sign Recognition
The traffic sign recognition function identifies
speed limits, road signs which set speed limits,
no-overtaking and no-access signs within the field
of view of the camera installed near the internal
rearview mirror, and displays them in the left-hand
display or the status bar of the instrument cluster.
If the vehicle is equipped with this system, it is
always active.
Night Vision
The night-vision system uses an infra-red camera in the front bumper to monitor the area in front
of the vehicle at night, and can display pedestrians and large animals beyond the range of the
headlights.
To activate the system, the dipped headlights must be switched on or AUTO mode selected in the
exterior lighting control panel; the external temperature must be below 82 °F (28 °C), and the
vehicle must be driving at night.
When the night vision system is active, it is displayed in
a dedicated driver information system tab in the left-
hand display of the instrument cluster. If the system is
not available, the
symbol is displayed.
With the full-beam headlights on, any pedestrians
or animals detected are highlighted in yellow. When
pedestrians or animals are detected along or near
the vehicle's trajectory, and are thus considered a
collision hazard, they are highlighted in red and the
corresponding warning lights turn on.
