3.1 Mounting The Articulator To The Tractor
DANGER!
Before attempting to mount the Articulator to the tractor, be sure the PTO is disen-
gaged, then engine is off, the parking break set, and the transmission is in neutral.
Follow the procedures listed below to properly mount the Articulator to the tractor:
1. Park the tractor on level ground.
2. Turn off the tractor, disengage the PTO, shift the transmission into neutral, and set the
parking brake. Remove the key from the tractor start switch.
3. Leave the Articulator in transport position, with the safety latch in place. DO NOT LOWER
THE ARTICULATOR INTO CUTTING POSITION AT THIS TIME.
4. Position the Articulator next to the traction unit as shown below.
5. Attach the lower Articulator pull arms to the lower arms of the traction units 3-point hitch.
Slide the clevis pins through the Articulator pull arms into the ball swivels on the traction
