4.Inputanewuserpassword(aminimumofeightdigitsandamaximumof16digits),andthenpress.
ThestatusLEDashesingreenthreetimes,andthenitashesinblue.
Note:IfthestatusLEDashesinredthreetimes,thisindicatesthatthenewuserpasswordisless
thaneightdigitsormorethan16digits.AfterthestatusLEDashesinblue,inputauserpasswordthat
containseightto16digits.
5.Inputthenewuserpasswordagain,andthenpress.ThestatusLEDstaysingreen,indicatingthatthe
userpasswordissuccessfullychanged.
Note:IfthestatusLEDashesinredthreetimesandthenashesinblue,gobacktostep4.This
problemiscausedbyoneofthefollowingreasons:
•Youwaitlongerthan10secondsbeforeinputtingthenewuserpassword.
•Thenewuserpasswordisincorrectlyinput.
Note:Theadministratorpasswordcanbeusedasauserpassword.Anadministratorpasswordcanbe
changedonlyinadministratormode.Formoreinformation,see“Changingtheadministratorpassword”

Deletingtheuserpassword(s)
Todeletetheuserpassword(s),dothefollowing:
1.Enteradministratormode.See“Enteringadministratormode”onpage5formoreinformation.
2.Hold7+8+forvesecondsuntilthestatusLEDashesinblue.Afterthat,thestatusLEDashes
ingreenthreetimes,andthenashesinblue.
3.Hold7+8+forvesecondsagainuntilthestatusLEDbecomesgreenforthreesecondsandthen
turnsblue.Thisindicatesthattheuserpassword(s)aresuccessfullydeleted.
Attention:Ifyouhavemorethanoneuserpassword,alluserpasswordswillbedeletedatatime.
Lockthesecureharddrive
Toensurethedatasecurityofyoursecureharddrivewhenyouareawayfromyourcomputer,youcan
manuallylockthesecureharddriveorusetheauto-lockfunction.
Manuallylockthesecureharddrive
Tomanuallylockthesecureharddrive,holduntilthestatusLEDturnsred.
Lockthesecureharddrivewiththeauto-lockfunction
Ifthereisnodatatransmissionafteranauto-lockinterval,whichyouneedtosetinadvance,thesecurehard
drivewilllockitself.Then,thestatusLEDwillturnred,andyouwillnotbeabletoaccessthesecurehard
driveunlessyouunlockitbyinputtingthecorrectuserpasswordandthenpress.
Tosettheauto-lockinterval,dothefollowing:
