18.Thesetupprocesscontinuesaftertheserverrestarts.Setyourrootuserpassword.Then,select
NextandpressEnter.
Note:Thepasswordmustcontainatleastsixcharactersandconsistofuppercaseletters,lower
caseletters,andnumbers.
19.Setyourhostnameanddomainname.Then,selectNextandpressEnter.
20.ConfigureyournetworkintheNetworkConfigurationwindow.Then,selectNextandpressEnter.

selectNextandpressEnter.
21.Inthe“UserAuthenticationMethod”window,configurethesettingsasyouneed.SelectNextand
pressEnter.
22.IntheLDAPClientConfigurationwindow,configurethesettingsasyouneed.SelectNextandpress
Enter.
23.IntheNewLDAPUserwindow,configurethesettingsasyouneed.SelectNextandpressEnter.
24.IntheReleaseNoteswindow,selectNextandthenpressEnter.
25.IntheHardwareConfigurationwindow,selectNextandthenpressEnter.
26.IntheInstallationCompletedwindow,clickFinish.
27.Followtheinstructionsonthescreentologintotheoperatingsystem.
InstallingdriversforanEthernetcard
ToinstallthedriverforanEthernetcard,dothefollowing:
1.CopytheEthernetcarddriverfromtheThinkServerEasyStartupDVDtoaUSBstoragedevice.
Double-clicktheEXEfiletounzipittoafolder.ConnecttheUSBstoragedevicetoyourserver.
2.LogintotheoperatingsystemandcopythefolderfromyourUSBstoragedevicetothe/tmpdirectory
onyourserver.
3.Usethefollowingcommandstoinstallthedriver:
cd/tmp
tarzxvfigb-4.3.1.tar.gz
cdigb-4.3.1/src
makeinstall
Note:Ifthefileextensionisnot.tar.gz,skipthesecondcommand.
4.RestartyourserverandclickComputeronthelowerleftcorner.
5.ClickYaST.
6.IntheYaSTControlCenterwindow,clickNetworkDevices➙NetworkSettings.
7.ChooseanEthernetcardasyouneedandclickEdit.
8.IntheNetworkCardSetupwindow,selectStaticallyassignedIPAddressandconfigurethesettings
asyouneed.Then,clickNext.
9.ConfigureotherEthernetcardsifneeded.ClickOKtocompletetheEthernetcardconfiguration.
