Toinstallorreplaceaneasy-swapdrive,dothefollowing:
1.Reviewthefollowinginstallationrules:
•Whenyouinstalldrives,followtheorderofthedrivebaynumbers.See“Frontviewoftheserver”on
page20
tolocatethedrivebaysinyourserver.
•ForRAIDconfiguration,thedrivesmustbethesametypewiththesamecapacityiftheyarewithina
singleRAIDarray.Formoreinformation,see“ConfiguringRAID”onpage68.
2.Removeallexternalmediafromthedrivesandturnoffallattacheddevicesandtheserver.Then,
disconnectallpowercordsfromelectricaloutletsanddisconnectallcablesthatareconnectedto
theserver.
3.Locatetheappropriateeasy-swap-drivebay.See“Frontviewoftheserver”onpage20.
4.Useascrewdrivertoturnthehandlelock1totheunlockedposition.Thehandleopensautomatically.
