Step 1. Press on the release button and the push point at the same time and slide the cover toward the rear
of the compute node.
Step 2. Lift the compute node cover away from the compute node.
Step 3. Lay the compute node cover flat or store it for future use.
Remove the air baffle
Use this information to remove the air baffle.
To avoid possible danger, read and follow the following safety information.

Before removing the air baffle:
1. Read
“Installation Guidelines” on page 28 to ensure that you work safely.
2. Carefully lay the compute node on a flat, static-protective surface, orienting the compute node with the
bezel pointing toward you.
3. Remove the compute node cover (see
“Remove the compute node cover” on page 32 for instructions).
