The degree of protecon indicates the suitability of a motor for specic ambient condions
with regard to humidity as well as the protecon against contact and the ingress of foreign
parcles. The degrees of
protecon are classied by EN 60529.
The rst code number aer the code leers IP indicates the protecon against the ingress of
foreign parcles and dust.The second code number refers to the protecon against the ingress
of humidity.
