4 Save the zip file.
Note: Make sure that the serial number in the zip file matches the serial number of the printer being restored.
5 Extract the contents of the zip file, open the Readme file, and then follow the instructions in the file.
Notes:
• Perform the install instructions on the Readme file in the exact order shown. Only reboot the printer when
instructed to in the file.
• For more information on how to flash the downloaded files, see “Updating the printer firmware” on
page 149.
• If the package downloaded from the Service Restore Tool contains zip files, see“Restoring solutions,
licenses, and configuration settings” on page 148 for the instructions on how to load the zip files to the
printer.
