When the interior lights or headlights are dim and the hybrid system

Cause Remedy
The 12-volt battery may be dis-
charged.
Restarting the hybrid system using the jump-
er (or booster) cables.
The 12-volt battery terminals may
be loose or corroded.
Check if a 12-volt battery terminal is loose or
corroded.

■ When replacing the 12-volt battery
● When the vent plug and indicator are close to the hold down clamp, the battery fluid
(sulfuric acid) may leak.
● For information regarding 12-volt battery replacement, contact any authorized Lexus
retailer or Lexus authorized repairer, or any reliable repairer.
If the 12-volt battery discharges, it may not be possible to shift the shift position to
other positions.
In this case, the vehicle cannnot be towed without lifting both front wheels because
the front wheels will be locked.
