Installing a child restraint system to the front passenger's seat
Do not install a child restraint system to the front passenger's seat unless it is
unavoidable. In the event of an accident, the force of deployment of an SRS airbag
can cause death or serious injury to a child.
If installation of a child restraint system to the front passenger's seat is unavoidable,
adjust the front passenger's seat as follows:
● Move the seat to the rearmost position
● Move the seat to the uppermost position
●
Adjust the seatback angle to the most upright position.
Adjust the seatback angle of the front passenger's seat until good contact is
achieved.
●
Remove the head restraint
If the head restraint cannot be removed, move it to the uppermost position.
WARNING
● There is a label(s) on the passenger side sun visor, indicating it is forbidden to attach a
rear-facing child restraint system to the front passenger seat.
● When installing a child restraint system to the front passenger's seat, move the seat as
far back as possible. In the event of an accident, the force of deployment of an SRS
airbag can cause death or serious injury to a child.
