● Shake the child restraint system left and right, and forward and backward to ensure
that it has been securely installed.
1 Pass the seat belt through the child restraint system.
Install the child restraint system according to the user’s manual included with it.
2 Insert the plate into buckle until a sound is heard.
Make sure that the belt is not twisted.
3 Check that the seat belt is secure.
You may need a locking clip to install the child
restraint system. Follow the instructions provided
by the manufacturer of the system. If your child
restraint system does not provide a locking clip,
you can purchase the following item from any
authorized Lexus retailer or Lexus authorized re-
pairer, or any reliable repairer: Locking clip for
child restraint system (Part No. 73119-22010)
4 After installing the child restraint system, rock it back and forth to ensure that it
is installed securely.
Make sure that the child restraint system is securely installed.
Removing a child restraint system that is installed with a seat belt
If a child restraint system is installed with a seat belt, release the seat belt to remove
it.
1 Press the buckle release button.
When the buckle is released, the child restraint system may spring up. Make sure to
hold down the child restraint system when releasing the buckle.
2 Remove the seat belt from the child restraint system.
The seat belt will be retracted automatically.
