● Securely install the child restraint system according to the user's manual of the child
restraint system.
If a head restraint interferes with a child restraint system
When installing a child restraint system, if a head restraint interferes with the child
restraint system, remove the head restraint or adjust its position.
● Remove the head restraint.
If a head restraint cannot be removed, move it to the uppermost position.
Installing a child restraint system with a seat belt
When installing a child restraint system which is not ISOFIX/i-Size compatible, use
a seat belt to install it.
Install the child restraint system according to the user’s manual included with it.
WARNING
Observe the following when installing a child restraint system with a seat belt.
● Do not allow children to play with the seat belt. If the seat belt becomes twisted around
a child’s neck, it may lead to choking or other serious injuries that could result in death.
If this occurs and the buckle cannot be unfastened, scissors should be used to cut the
belt.
● When using a junior seat, make sure that the shoulder belt is securely positioned over
the child’s shoulder.
● After installing a child restraint system, do not adjust the seat.
● Make sure that the seat belt plate and buckle are securely fastened.
● Make sure that the seat belt is not twisted.
● Securely install the child restraint system according to the procedure in the user’s
manual of the child restraint system.
