■ Checking the sealant
The sealant has a limited lifespan. Check the sealant expiration date occasionally.
The expiration date is printed on the bottle.
The sealant should be replaced before the expiry date. Contact any authorized Lexus
retailer or Lexus authorized repairer, or any reliable repairer for replacement.
Do not use sealant whose expiry date has already passed. Otherwise, repairs conducted
using the emergency tire puncture repair kit may not be performed properly.
■ When disposing of the liquid sealant
The liquid sealant contains materials which are harmful to the environment. When
disposing of liquid sealant or a liquid sealant bottle, contact any authorized Lexus retailer
or Lexus authorized repairer, or any reliable repairer or contact your local government
for information on the appropriate authorized waste disposal method.
Taking out the emergency tire puncture repair kit
1 Remove the deck board.
2 Take out the emergency tire puncture repair kit.
Repairing a flat tire
WARNING
Observe the following when repairing a flat tire.
● Stop your vehicle in a safe and flat area.
● Do not touch the wheels or the area around the brakes immediately after the vehicle
has been driven.
After the vehicle has been driven, the wheels and the area around the brakes may be
extremely hot. Touching these areas with hands, feet or other body parts may result in
burns.
● Perform repairs according to the specified procedure.
If the procedure is not followed, the tire sealant may spray.
