TUB CLEAN function
Use this function to keep the tub clean by sterilizing the germs in the tub.
Press the POWER
button.
Close the door.
For liquid bleach or cleaner, add to the com-
partment for fabric softener, and for powdered
bleach or cleaner add to the compartment for the
main wash detergent.
Do not load any laundry or any general deter-
gent.

Select the TUB CLEAN
course by pressing the
TUB CLEAN button.
The STEAM function is automatically selected.

Press the START/
PAUSE button.
Then, it locks the door and starts TUB CLEAN.

※ If added over the guide line, it may be added
to the tub right away.
※ Only use the recommended amount for chlorine bleach. Overuse of chlorine bleach will cause
failure.
※ Do not wipe the exterior or the drum inside with chlorine bleach directly.

Please note!
Automatic notification function for TUB
CLEAN
If is flashed on the remaining time display
when the POWER button on, it is the alarm to
notify for TUB CLEAN. Thus, perform the TUB
CLEAN by pressing the button.
If you wish to do laundry without TUB CLEAN,
dial the Course Selector Knob for the desired
course or press the button for the desired function
or cycle.
Once TUB CLEAN is done, the alarm
will
not be displayed until the next time for TUB
CLEAN.
The timing for TUB CLEAN depends on the num-
ber of washes running. Normally it alarms every
30 times the washer running.
Please note!
When you use TUB CLEAN, always use chlorine bleach. (Oxygen bleach is less effective in TUB CLEAN.)
Do not add laundry and detergent when the TUB CLEAN course is selected. It will cause damage or decolorization to clothes.
Monthly TUB CLEAN will maintain the drum inside clean.
It is convenient to use the TUB CLEAN when going out or at night.
During TUB CLEAN, the ADD GARMENTS button is DISABLED.
Chlorine bleach is the one generally sold under the name ‘CLOROX’.
